WMS maintains a physical library. The hardcopy database enables a search of the electronic catalog for the WMS physical library and is available for downloading from this page. The download includes the WMS hardcopy library database, a search engine, and a users guide with a description of the process for requesting review of hardcopy document.

Download and Install the Database

The hardcopy database runs on Windows 95 or more recent operating systems. The hardware requirements are an IBM PC or compatible computer with a 386DX/25-megahertz processor (or larger) and a minimum of 8 megabytes of RAM.

Note
: The hardcopy library is comprised of two applications, Endnote and the WMP Library.

1. Install Endnote Viewer

  • Download the wmslib.zip file by clicking:  wmslib.zip.
  • Save the zip file to any folder on your hard drive (for example, Program Files).
  • Browse to the unzipped folder and extract all files.
  • If applicable, follow the steps in the extract wizard to save the files.
  • Browse to the folder and double-click the setup.exe. file.  
  • In the EndNote Demo/Viewer Installation dialog box browse to a folder location for the installation and click Finish.
  • Click on Next to start the install for the WMP Library.

2. Install WMP Library

  • In the WMP Library Installation dialog box click Next.
  • Browse to a folder location for the installation and then click Next.
  • Click Finish to complete the installation.
  • If needed, close all open windows.

3. Complete the Installation and Use

  • Click on your computer's Start menu.
  • Under Programs, click on WMP Library item, and click Next to open the program. (Note: The Endnote viewer is a new selection from Start- Programs. It does not contain the WMP Library).
  • The Endnote program will launch and the WMP Library data will be loaded.
  • A user's guide can also be accessed from Start (file name: lkb975.pdf).
