MOA Hillside Drainage Atlas Available
In 2003 the WMS published the first in a series of watershed-related atlases, the ‘Hillside Drainage Atlas, Anchorage , Alaska '. This document represents the results of several projects that produced detailed mapping of drainageways, including piped, ditched and natural features, across a large portion of the Anchorage Hillside area. The atlas identifies drainageways and drainageway features in context with recent orthophoto-imagery and base mapping (including topography and lot lines). Hardcopy 11x17-format full-color atlas is also periodically available at $125 per copy, depending on printing demand.

MOA Streams Atlas Coming Soon
WMS is currently preparing a streams atlas showing the location of receiving waters for the more urbanized areas of the Municipality. The atlas will display all stream, wetland (including both fresh and brackish water), lake and marine features in context with cartographic base map information including parks, trails, schools, roads and land parcels. This atlas is planned for initial publication in an 8½x11 format to make it easier to print and more compact for use in the field. Web-ready map pages are scheduled for release on this site in April 2005.
